Welcome to Woodland/Davis Autism and Special Needs Playgroup! Any parent or family with a family member with autism or special needs is welcome to join our group. My hope is that through this group you will be able to connect with other families and get to enjoy some fun outings in safe, sensory friendly venues.

Let's get together in Sacramento for family barbecues, games, support, resources, speakers, new friendships, parents night out and a general social outlet for parents and kids/teens with Aspergers and high functioning Autism. Monthly Meetups to get the kid together to play, for the parents to talk and network and to offer support and share resources with each other. My son is 9 years old, and so it might help for others to know that if you have a child in the age range of 8-12, this might be a good fit for your child.

This group's purpose is to organize events with our awesome special need children/family members with other members who "get it". We will plan playdates, family day trips and organize  events for parents without the kids. If you are a parent of a special need child, want to get support from other parents who face the same challenges you do, but mostly, relax and have fun, with our without the kids, come and join us.

This is a peer led support group for parents with children on the Autism Spectrum. We have some wonderful playgroups and resources in our area that we will advertise on this site! But this group is for parents to come and chat with each other about this crazy journey we all share. We are hosting meetings on the 3rd Saturday of every month at 10AM starting January 2013!
